Foodies can take advantage of special menus and prices at 56 restaurants during Newport Beach Restaurant Week, which actually runs two weeks, starting Monday and continuing through Jan. 28.
The 12th annual event, themed “Beyond the Menu: A Culinary Journey,” will offer prix fixe specials with lunches priced from $10 to $25 and dinners from $20 to $50. The establishments also will offer their regular menus.
The participating restaurants include fine-dining establishments such as the Bungalow, Andrea at Pelican Hill and Five Crowns and neighborhood favorites such as Muldoon’s Irish Pub and Woody’s Wharf.
There also are five new participants — Balboa Lily’s, Free Range, La French Touch, Pizza Nova and Nobu.
Among the culinary offerings during Restaurant Week are a $40 dinner menu at Oak Grill at Fashion Island with courses including grilled salmon, truffle bacon macaroni and cheese, and apple pecan crumb butter sweet cake.
Other Fashion Island options will include lunch at Fig & Olive (quinoa salad, squash risotto and chocolate pot de creme) and Sushi Roku (kale salad, six-piece sushi assortment, spicy tuna roll, sorbet and fruit).
No tickets, passes or coupons are required for Restaurant Week, according to Dine Newport Beach, the marketing arm of the Newport Beach Restaurant Assn.
