The Mysterium Theater’s production of “Elton John and Tim Rice’s Aida” runs at the La Habra Depot Playhouse through Feb. 17.
The musical is “an epic tale of love, loyalty and betrayal, chronicling the love triangle between Aida, a Nubian princess stolen from her country, Amneris, an Egyptian princess, and Radames, the soldier they both love,” according to the show description.
John and Rice adapted their version from the opera by Giuseppe Verdi. It was originally a Walt Disney Theatrical production.
The La Habra show is staged Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays with afternoon and evening performances.
